Here in Chattanooga, our members are teachers, business owners, CEO's. healthcare workers, parents, and community leaders—all connected by one simple idea:

Why these Rotarians are members

I joined Rotary because I saw how much my Dad enjoyed it. He participated in many activities that included family members and our business. I originally joined his club in Kenosha Wisconsin after he died. I remember when I was growing up we had a Rotary  exchange person  once a year for a weekend. Most of the time they were from India. I transferred to this club after I was settled in Chattanooga TN.

My reason started years ago when a uncle of mine (my role model) joined Rotary.  I knew it must be good.  Then when I was transferred to Chattanooga in 1993, my good friend Rick Carlson (another role model) asked me to join Rotary…I did.  Never dreamed of the great people I would come to know that truly put service above self.

Not to mention one that encouraged me to host an Italian Rotary exchange student that has build a bond for 30 years!

There were many reasons why I joined the Rotary Club of Chattanooga Hamilton Place.  Foremost among them is the fact that members of Rotary are people it is important to know, community leaders, those who are dedicated to altruistic service and people of unwavering faith.  Some of the best men and women on earth.  Being a member provides a framework for giving in service locally, nationally and throughout the world.  It was an honor to meet several members and to then be asked to join the club. 

After my first year it is an honor and a privilege to have become immersed into the community of this club and the larger international community where the Rotary Foundation multiplies the efforts of each and every neighborhood club.

I joined Rotary to serve our community. I have always had a passion to help others and our Rotary Club gives me the opportunity to do that.
